KARVE is the creation of Founder Yulia Pashevkina’s fitness and wellbeing journey. Spending years in search of a workout that would exercise both the body and the mind, she developed an innovative method of training that combines rigorous machine-based Pilates with mindfulness and breathwork techniques. By teaming high intensity and low impact strength-based training with mindfulness, her methods help to ‘karve’ and transform the body through the mind. Building strong bodies and resilient minds, these transformer Pilates classes are designed to leave each person who steps out of the KARVE studio feeling like they have experienced a thorough workout, whilst feeling mindfully at peace.
Today Yulia’s universal passion for fitness and wellbeing continues to evolve. In addition to establishing transformer Pilates and being the face of KARVE, she is also studying integrative nutrition and has a keen passion for astrology and how this inherently feeds into individual wellbeing.
What would you love to share to encourage other women to start their own business?
Life is too short not do what you love. If you feel a calling, you should give it a try. If we don’t try and fail, we would never succeed. Although starting up a company can be difficult and require a lot of dedication, hard work and finance, there are a lot of rewards to it: flexible working hours, a sense of empowerment and freedom.

Who are the 5 women who inspire you the most?
Too many to point out. But my mum is my ultimate boss lady. She’s driven, firm but fair and caring. She started her business in her 40’s- a medical-style beauty salon after she had my sisters and me. It was one of the first salons in our town back in my home time Orenburg in Russia. She spotted the gap in the market and pursued her passion backed by her Doctor’s Degree. Exactly what I’m doing now opening my first KARVE Transformer Pilates studio. She’s a true inspiration!
