What would you love to share to encourage other women to start their own business?
I’ve been searching for what was missing in my life for a few years now and couldn’t let go of that feeling. My job is great – I work full time as a Head of PR and Events for a global market research company – but I didn’t feel like I was giving back to society in a way that was meaningful. My main advice would be, it doesn’t matter how long it will take you to figure out what you want; what matters is that once you figure it out, you will know why you’ve been waiting this long. You can really find purpose in achieving the smallest things, and not all-powerful people can find fulfilment in what they do, but you can if you really believe in yourself and what you do.
What are your top 5 tips for entrepreneurial success?
You can’t do it all – be organised and prioritise. The rest will come in due time.
Prioritise your mind and body – without them, you can’t achieve great things,
Surround yourself with like-minded people and with positive energy – nothing beats a group of inspirational people
Get out of your comfort zone, this is where you’ll come up with the best ideas
Ditch perfectionism – yes, you can still achieve great things without calibrating everything to the millimetre
Who are the 5 women who inspire you the most?
Alexandria Ocasio Cortez – congresswoman,
Poorna Bell – founder of See My Strong,
Tabara N’Diaye – founder of La Basketry,
Sahaj Kaur Kohli – founder of Brown Girl Therapy,
Mafalda Vasconcelos – artist
What is your favourite saying/inspirational quote?
You’re never given more than you can handle. My mother repeats it to me again and again, and I learnt to find it comforting over time.
