Claire Daniels is CEO of a boutique marketing agency, Trio Media, who are based in Leeds. The company was founded in 2017 but in 2020 Claire bought out the original founding directors to take the mantle of the agency. Shortly after the takeover, Claire was awarded as CEO of the Year by CEO Monthly; handpicked due to the success she achieved in driving the business forward during the pandemic. Claire’s background is in strategic in-house marketing roles, so she understands the challenges faced by marketers when managing an agency and that’s how she implements a different approach at Trio.
Claire is no stranger to awards as she was also shortlisted in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2018 and has twice been voted for Role Model of the Year in the Women in Technology awards.
Claire is very passionate about investing in others and helping to promote equal opportunities for other women. Not only does Claire like to help other people, but she’s also an avid supporter of the environment and is a Conservation Circle member of Rainforest Trust UK.
What would you love to share to encourage other women to start their own company?
Just don’t be afraid to start. A lot of women suffer from imposter syndrome, but trust me everyone feels the same. It’s not a case of fake it until you make it, but act confident and you’ll go far. We need more boss babes out there so just go for it and ask yourself, what’s the worst that could happen? Be afraid to fail, I’ve had plenty of failures in my career but it’s what you learn from them and how you bounce back that counts.
What are your top 5 tips for entrepreneurial success?
Don’t wait to be perfect, find your niche, be personable, be honest and be confident.

I do struggle as I think there needs to be a more diverse mix of female role models out there.
What is your favourite saying/inspirational quote?
Not so much an inspirational quote but I love this for anyone that is struggling or thinks they can’t do something… ‘So far you’ve survived 100% of your worst days – you’re doing great.’
