Tracey Woods is a successful property investor, trainer and mentor, who specialises in HMO strategy. She isMD of both Landlord Smart and HMOs in High Heels. Over the past 20 years, she has built up a portfolio of Buy-to-Lets and Houses of Multiple Occupation (HMOs). In 2013, Tracey’s portfolio enabled her to quit the day job and focus 100% on her passion for property and helping others to achieve the same level of financial freedom she now enjoys. Tracey mentors a select number of clients, teaching them how to build their own successful HMO portfolios. She specialises in helping women through her business, HMOs in High Heels. Tracey launched Landlord Smart with her business partner Nigel in 2016 to offer a unique lease financing service – rather than paying for furniture, electrical items and white goods upfront, investors can instead lease these items.
What would you love to share with other women to encourage them to start their own business?
“Creating business is all about you giving to the world with your product or service that will help others. Women are often led to believe that business is a man’s world, or it is only men who succeed in business. This is very untrue. Some of the most successful businesses that provide value and service to the UK are run by women. My passion is to encourage any woman to believe that a successful business is something she can achieve – using her life skills and experiences, and the natural nurturing skills inherent in most women. Doing something you love, which is in your flow, enables you to grow, help others and grow personally, makes any business or venture a pleasure rather than just a job.”
