For the first time since it was revealed in 2020, the Polestar Precept is heading to the UK for the much-anticipated 2021 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Precept headlines Polestar’s presence at the event, which will also include the Polestar 1 electric performance hybrid and the Polestar 2 electric performance fastback.
The model was revealed in March 2020 to showcase the future of the company’s design, technology and sustainability ambitions. Later in the year, Polestar confirmed that Precept will enter production in the future. The project is now well underway, with development at pace to bring the striking EV to market.
Polestar Precept and Polestar 1
“We are excited to show Precept to the British public at this iconic festival,” says Thomas Ingenlath, Polestar CEO. “Not only is it great to bring the car to a new audience, but our UK R&D team based in Coventry is leading the development of the project.”
In addition to Precept, the signature Polestar stand will host the limited-edition ‘Sun’ Polestar 1 and the award-winning Polestar 2. For the first time in the Festival’s history, an exclusive test drive area will be set up adjacent to the event area at Molecomb, where interested visitors can test drive Polestar 2 on a closed route.
“Goodwood is a special event for us,” continues Thomas Ingenlath. “The dynamic preview for Polestar 1 was a prototype run up the hill in 2018. This year we celebrate the end of production of our halo car with the new Sun special edition. And don’t worry, we have a surprise in store with Polestar 2 as well.”
The Polestar stand will be located on the main grid, just behind the First Glance Paddock.
The 2021 Goodwood Festival of Speed runs from 8th July to 11th July.
