Kasia Bromley is the Co-Founder and Creative Director of leading, independent women’s outdoorwear brand, ACAI Outdoorwear. The 35-year-old mum of two, who cut her design teeth at Alexander McQueen, founded ACAI Outdoorwear in 2016 further to having become tired with what she describes as the industry’s “pink and shrink” approach to women’s outdoorwear. The brand’s Skinny Outdoor Trousers, which fit like a skinny jean but have all the performance benefits of an outdoor trouser, have revolutionised the women’s outdoorwear sector.
What would you say as a note of encouragement to other women to start their own company?
Enjoy every moment. Strive for the big things but don’t forget to embrace the small, particularly in the early days. It’s easy to become overwhelmed by the size of the task at times, focus on doing one thing well opposed to doing five things not so well.

Who are the 5 women who inspire you the most?
Kate Spade, Kate was such an inspiration to me as a designer and businesswoman. I was devastated to learn of her passing.
Holly Willoughby, she’s very focused and determined professionally but balances it brilliantly with her role as a mum, she’s never lost her authenticity.
Debra Meaden, she’s achieved incredible business success whilst maintaining a real sense of warmth.
Rebecca Stevens is a true inspiration. Through sheer self-belief and determination she has broken records and barriers to become one of the world’s most celebrated female climbers.
Michelle Mone, her story is incredible and one of a kind.
