What would you love to share to encourage other women to start their own business?

Starting my own company was a challenge, but I’d definitely encourage it. Being your own boss is brilliant, especially if it’s something you’re passionate about. If you work hard then you know it is for you and not someone else who will claim the benefit. The hours can be flexible, working at a time that suits your lifestyle and family.

It is a fantastic feeling building a company, one of the highlights for me is providing new jobs and training staff, it’s great to have a positive impact and pass on some knowledge! I’d also say it’s pretty tough, especially if you decide to start it alone, just make sure you’ve got a support network to keep you going!

What are your top 5 tips for entrepreneurial success?

1. Be passionate

2. Work efficiently- it’s not how long you work for- it’s how much you put in.

3. Hire people who are better at their job than you are.

4. Build a positive work environment so you and others enjoy going to work

5. Have fun!!

Your job doesn’t define who you are and if you fail that’s okay, keep trying and you’ll learn a lot along the way!

Who are the women who inspire you the most?

Many people inspire me, mostly entrepreneurs, anyone who is brave enough to start a business deserves respect!

What is your favourite saying/inspirational quote?

“Tough times never last but tough people do”
